Always liked "I asked if you would like to go along to see teh Rocky Horror Picture Show. you said you'd love to so I murdered your family cos I hate the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Besides, I'm going round hardware shops".
And I can't remember which song "You're so exclusive you don't exist" comes from.
Yeah, great line, from 'Our Tune'. Can't place the second one but give me a month or two ...
Seriously considering a trip to Holmfirth for Billy Bragg in December too.
Ordinary To Enschede. It's on a Peel session, possibly available to download at hmhb.co.uk
Got it - one of the tracks on the CD single of 'Let's Not'. Picked it up at a gig a few years ago. Good spot!
Re Ordinary to Enschede: where does the barge go prior to the ordinary to Enschede and hydrofoil to Malmo etc? I can't work it out.
It's a barge to Waregem A small town (10,000 population) with a large racecourse (which hosts the Belgian Grand National equivalent) that can be reached by barge. Second division football team, play at the Regenboog ('Rainbow' in Flemish).
Just never been able to make it out on the dodgy copy i've got. I'm happy now. Ta.
Oh, and Frank Sidebottom in York on November 5 following the City v Altrincham game. Oh yes.
lol. As far as I'm aware the Rocky Horror part of Our Tune wasn't written by Blackmore it was written by me. The lyric was given to them by Colum or Eion McCarthy in Edinburgh 90/91. I wasn't happy when they told me they'd given it away but they said I wasn't using them anyway (never got in a band until 2003). Dunno if Blackmore wrote the rest around it or wedged it in. So thanks! Douglas Murray of plastic-food.bebo.com
